Sooo,
what is NFC?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a short-range wireless standard that lets two devices exchange small amounts of data when they're within roughly 4 cm of each other.

It works through magnetic induction: the active device (a phone, reader) generates an oscillating magnetic field through its antenna coil, and when a passive tag's coil enters that field, the induced current powers the tag's tiny chip, no battery required.

Because the field is so weak and drops off sharply with distance, the short range is a security feature, not a limitation: someone can't quietly read your tag from across the room. The tags store an NDEF record , typically a URL, that the phone reads and acts on automatically.

How do we use NFC
in our products?

Before a single gram of filament is laid down,
the tag already has a home.

During the design phase, we carve a precisely sized cavity into the 3D model . A pocket shaped to the exact dimensions of the NFC chip, with just enough clearance to seat it perfectly.

Then comes the part that sets our work apart.

Instead of gluing a tag onto the back of a finished piece, we pause the printer mid-build. The moment the pocket is formed, printing stops, the chip is placed by hand, and the machine resumes, sealing the tag permanently inside the part. The layers close over it seamlessly.

The result is a product with no visible seam, no glued-on sticker, and nothing to peel off or wear away.

Just a clean, solid piece that responds the instant a phone touches it.
